Betty Crocker Homemade Pancakes
Whether it is breakfast or dinner, pancakes are always a hit in our house, and these have been a family favorite since I was a kid. If youβre looking for a homemade pancake recipe, these are definitely a go to. We serve with bacon, sausage or eggs.
Ingredients 4-5 servings
(I always double the recipe for our party of 7. If I know I want leftovers, then I triple it and have extra for the school week).
1 cup milk (plus 2 TBSP Vinegar) ~ OR 1 cup buttermilk 1 egg 2 TBSP oil 1 TBSP sugar 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 cup flour
+ a few TBSP butter to fry in
Preheat a large skillet or griddle.
Mix ingredients in order listed above. 2. Add pad of butter to pan/griddle to grease your surface and allow to melt. 3. Add 1/4 to 1/3 cup batter to griddle. Allow to cook on this side until you see bubbles forming. 4. Flip and allow to complete cooking. This side of the pancake always takes less time.
*you can add toppings after pouring your batter onto the griddle. My kids love chocolate chips, blueberries and cinnamon. After adding these, I always add a little more batter to cover the topping to prevent it burning or sticking to the griddle.
Serve hot and enjoy!
